COMPLIANCE STATEMENT
This certificate of compliance lists the building features and performance
specifications needed to comply with the Energy Standards in Title 24, Parts
1 and 6, of the California Code of Regulations, and the Administrative
regulations to implement them. This certificate has been signed by the
individual with overall design responsibility. When this certificate of
compliance is submitted for a single building plan to be built in multiple
orientations, any shading feature that is varied is indicated in the Special

and provide adequate shoring, bracing and formwork, etc., as required
for the protection of life and property during the construction of
this building. Excess load capacity of slab shall not exceed loads
equivalent to the design superimposed loads less construction dead and
live loads. Design superimposed loads include live load, partition
load, and any other load not in place at the time of shoring.
9. Excavation: The contractor shall be solely responsible for all
excavation procedures including lagging, sharing, and protection of
adjacent property, structures, streets and utilities in accordance
with the standards of the City of Santa Ana.

3. Inspections: A Soils Engineer or Geologist or his authorized representative
shall inspect all subgrode preparation prior to the placement of any
---reinforcing steel or concrete and shall perform tests as necessary to
verify that such work is in conformance with the building code.
The soils engineer or geologist shall send
certification of the footings to the building department prior to
placement of forms or reinforcing. Haidowns (where required) shall be
installed and properly anchored prior to inspection.

PREFABRICATED STRUCTURAL WOOD NOTES
1. Design: All Prefabricated Structural Wood (PSW) members have been
designed in accordance with the applicable provisions of the 1997
Uniform Building Code and appropriate current ICBO approvals. The
manufacturer shall submit shop drawings and proof of compliance to the
Architect for review and acceptance.

2. Protection & Care: All glue used in PSW is waterproof, however, long
exposure to water and sun will cause some deterioration and checking
of the wood. PSW should receive the some protection from weather
given to other wood products. The glue bond between the flanges and
the plywood web of a prefabricated wood joist is critical to the
performance of the joist. Do not force load outward on the flange.
3. Handling: A forklift or similar equipment carelessly used could
damage the wood flange

W. Take Care.
4. Construction Loads: A PSW system is designed to support specific
loads. It is dangerous to overload a single joist or group of joists
with piles of plywood, roofing or other materials. Distribute such
materials in small bundles.

CONCRETE ADHESIVE ANCHORS
1. Anchor Manufacturer: Where adhesive anchors are called for on these
plans, the contractor shall use "Covert Injection Adhesive Anchors" by
Covert Operations, Long Beach, California, installed per requirements
of LC.B.O. Report No. 4846, dated April 1992.
