Site developement and grading shall be designed to provide accesss to all entmnces and exterior ground -floor exits, and access to normal paths of travel, and when necessary to provide, access, shall incorporate pedestian ramps, curb ramps, etc. When more than one building or facility is located on a site, accessible routes of travel shall be provided between buildingsand accessible site facilities. Doors in any position shall not reduce the minimum dimension of the ramp landing to less than 42 inches (1067mm) and shall not reduce the quired width by more than 3 inches (76min) when fully opm 1133B.5.4.4 Strike edge extension. The width of the landing shall extend 24 inches (610mm) past the strike edge Of any door or gate or exterior ramps and 18 inches (457mm) past the strike edge for interior ramps. 1133B.5.4.5 Landing widt. At bottom and intermediate landings, the width shall be at least the saw as required fir the ramps. 1133B5.4.6 Change of direction Intermediate and bottom landings at a change of direction in excess of 30 degrees shall haw a deminsion in the direction of ramp run of not less than 72 inches (1829mm) to accomodate the handrail extension 1133B.5.4.7 Other intermediate landings. Handrails are required on ramps that provide access if slope exceeds I foot rise in 20 feet of horizontal run (5% slope). Handrails shall be placed on each side of each -ramp, shall be continuous the full length of the ramp, shall be 34 to 38 inches (864 to 965mm) above the ramp surface, shall extend a minimum of I foot (305mm) beyond the top and bottom of the rampand the ends shall be returned, Handrails projecting from a wall shall have a space of not less than 1 112 inches (38mm) between the wall and the handrail. Where the ramp surface is not bounded by a wall or fence and the ramp exceeds 10 feet (3048mm) in length, the ramp shall comply with one of the fillowing requirements. 1. A wheel guide rail shall be provided, centered 3 inches (76mm) plus or minus I inche (25mm) above the surface or the mmpL 1133B.6 Aisles. 1133B.6.1 General. Every portion of every building similar materials shall be provided with aisles lezin n exit. 1133B.6.2 Width. Every aisle shall not be less than 3 feet (914mm) wide if serving only one side, and not less than 3 feet 6 inches (1067mm) wide if serving both sides.
