SECURITY REOUIREMENTS
l . Exterior swinging doors must be solid core, 13/4" thick or with panels
9/16" thick. (8-210, A)
2, Doors leading from garage into a dwelling unit must be solid core, 1 3/8 "
thick. (8-210, B)
3. Specify above doors be equipped with deadbolt locks approved by the
Police Department (8.210, Q. Specify make and model (Titan,.Ug or equal)
4. Specify flush bolts with 5/8" embedment into head and threshold on
inactive door or exterior double doors. (8-210, E)
5. Glazing in exterior doors or within 40" of the latch must be tempered or
burglary resistant. (8.210, F)
6. Hinges for outswinging doors must have non -removable pins, (8-210-,G)
7. Strikeplates must be 3 1/2" tong, secured to the jamb with screws 2 1 /2" in length. (8-2I0, H )
8. Front exterior doors to be equipped with 180% door viewer. (8-210,1)
9. Each structure must have 4"street address numbers visible from the street,
numbers must be color contrasting to the background. (8-210, ICI)
10. Provide an illuminated plot plan of the complex at each driveway
entrance. (8-210, K2)
11. Specify light fixtures at exterior doors which provide one foot-candle of
light at ground level, (8-210, L)
12. Exterior walkways, passageways within multiple dwelling complexes
must be provided with .25 foot-candle of light. (8-210, M)
13. Parking lots and parking str4ctures of multiple dwelling complexes must
be provided with one -foot candle of light.(8.210, N)
14. Required exterior light fixtures must be vandal resistant type, (8-210, N)
15. Wooden garage doors must have panels 5/16`h in thickness.(8-210, A1)
16. Garage doors (including automatic) more than 16' in width must have two lacking points.

17, Slide bolt assemblies must be attached to the door frame with non -removable bolts, (8-208, D)
The slide bolt must be 3/8" in diameter.
