All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) for an appointment.Please return marked up set of drawings with corrections. Mark up set of drawings is at permit counter for pick up.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings (647-5839 or 647-5700)
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceReference sheet A2.1, Parts counter does not match sheet A2.4. Counters to be at height of 28” to 34” for both employee and customer side. Employee area to be wheel chair accessible. (60” circle) Provide dimensions on the drawings.Reference sheet A 8.1, Glass and glazing shall be in accordance with CBC Chapter 24. Indicate the type and thickness of each light of glazing on the drawings.Note type of safety glazing (Tempered) complying with CBC Section 2406 for hazardous locations listed under CBC Section 2406.3.Each piece of glass shall be firmly supported on all four edges. Show on the drawings how compliance shall be made with CBC Section 2404. For glass not firmly supported on all four edges, design shall be submitted to the building official for approval. Submit structural calculations for design and justification.Reference sheet A2.1, Revised door in room 102; Clarify if proposed 2’.0” door is a swing out or sliding door. Correct sheet A 8.1 for discrepancy. Sliding door with 2’.0” opening is not code compliance. For swing out type door the 2’.0” door must remain secured in a lock position with 3’.0” leaf to be active. Please check other proposed slider doors shown on sheet A 8.1 as well.Reference sheet A 7.1, Provide High and Low drinking fountain. Please refer to Figure 11B-3A and 11B-3B for compliance. Existing non-conforming condition is required to comply.Reference sheet A9.5, Correct ICBO reference for suspended ceiling plan. ICBO is replaced with ICC. Reference sheet A 7.1, Show door landing of 60”x60” for existing toilet rooms for accessibility compliance as shown on sheet A9.6 of original approved drawings.
