All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please return marked up set of drawings with corrections.Tenant improvements in the MainPlace Mall shall show compliance with the following special provisions and CBC Section 402:
- CBC Section 106.3. Tenant improvements at 2800 North Main, Main Place Mall, shall show compliance with
“Code Analysis and Fire Protection and Life Safety Concept” prepared by Code Consultants Incorporated,
dated “Revised February 18, 1986, and February 22, 1990 (1991 Mall Expansion).”
- Note on drawings: Duct and smoke removal system modification is not allowed and shall be in compliance with the “Code Analysis and Fire Protection and Life Safety Concept.” Mechanical pluming permit may be required to review this project for compliance. Plans shall indicate how required structural and fire resistive integrity will be maintained where a penetration will be made for electrical, mechanical, plumbing and communication conduits, pipes and similar systems. CBC Section 106.1.1 and CBC Chapter 7. Note on the plans the ICC Research Report number, U.L. number, State Fire Marshal number, or approval number of another agency accepted by the City of Santa Ana.Indicate the weight of each piece of equipment on the drawing and provide detail to show positive connection from equipment to platform and roof faming plan. Structural calculations are required for design and justification.Reference each fire-resistive assembly to a CBC Chapter 7, Table and Item number for proposed mechanical shafts and provide detail. Indicate ICC approval number ofsealant when roof is penetrated for attachment.Note on the drawings that scope of work is limited to 1 RTU and 1 Smoke exhaust fan and all other items shown on the drawings are not applicable to this permit.Reference sheet A2.2, detail 1, indicate height for partition wall and studs ICC approval number and remove ICBO note since they are no longer a recognized agency.
