All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) for an appointment.CBC Sections A107, All drawings and supporting documents shall be prepared, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits may be required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department (OCFA) approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceProvide a site plan with all property lines of record shown.Provide structural specifications sheet on plans, including required concrete compressive strength and rebar requirements.Clarify on structural plans the foundation for the tank shall be minimum 12” below grade.Callout minimum clearances at bottom (to grade) and at top for steel reinforcement for the concrete foundation.Provide foundation analysis and calculation for gravity loads for the tank. The structural plans show two support locations, whereas the tank specification sheet on the calculation shows five support locations. As the 124,000 lbs are not being distributed evenly onto the foundation, re-evaluate the foundation design for actual loads at the support locations. Show actual support locations of the tank on the foundation plan, as the tank is not centered in the short direction of the foundation.Evaluate foundation for lateral movement or provide a foundation key at perimeter of tank foundation.The calculations show a minimum of ten anchors. Callout quantity and ICC-ER number on the plans. Callout required special inspection for the anchors per the ICC-ER report.Callout on plans if the fuel dispenser will be accessible to the public or for employees only. If the dispenser will be accessible to the public, provide compliance with Ch. 11C of the California Building Code.
