All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.(When meeting is needed) Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5831 for an appointment.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceAll drawings and supporting documents shall be prepared, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer.CBC Sections A106.1 and A106.3.4.1Note on the drawings special inspections required for seismic resistance in accordance with CBC Section 1707, including:
- Mechanical and electrical components. (Concrete wedge anchors).
- Special inspections required by ICC Research Reports. (Indicate ICC report number for Concrete wedge anchorson the drawings)Please clarify if lateral loads from proposed solar panels are resisted by friction and total of (8) mechanical attachments are sufficient to resist the total lateral loads and how the weight of movable blocks are a justification to resist lateral loads.All components (Attachment to roof) to be positively fastened without consideration of frictional resistance produced by the effect of gravity. Section 13.4 (Nonstructural Component Anchorage) ASCE/SEI 7-05.Submit calculations for justification of existing roof framing members for vertical loads imposed by weight of blocks in addition to weight of solar panels. Show location of (8) attachments of solar “ ECO Fasten” to roof and indicate spacing in both direction and location and number of blocksfor inspection and verification.
