Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceIt is the project designer’s/property owner’s responsibility to show compliance on the drawings with all applicable Federal and State Accessibility Standards. City of Santa Ana does not have jurisdiction to enforce ADA compliance and it is the responsibility of designer. Please remove notes referring to ADA compliance from drawings. This project is reviewed for compliance with State Accessibility Standards (T-24).Tenant improvements in the Main Place Mall shall show compliance with the following special provisions and CBC Section 402: Note on drawings: CBC Section 106.3. Tenant improvements at 2800 North Main, Main Place Mall, shall show compliance with “Code Analysis and Fire Protection and Life Safety Concept” prepared by Code Consultants Incorporated, dated “Revised February 18, 1986, and February 22, 1990 (1991 Mall Expansion).”Kiosk shall comply with CBC Section 402.10: - CBC Section 1604.9 and 1613. Kiosk anchorage to floor shall be by mechanical fasteners and resist all sliding and overturning forces induced by lateral forces. - Non-combustible materials are required for framework. CBC Sections 603 and 402.10. Revise drawings to show complaisance. - Disabled access compliance is required. Refer to CBC Chapters 10 and 11B.Please refer to additional plan check comments. - Floor surfaces shall be disabled accessible in accordance with CBC Section 1124B. Refer to additional plan check comments.Reference sheet A1-1, please note that floor design is part of this permit and remove general contractor to provide accessibility for new raised floor note.Submit drawings to show construction of raised floor. Additional plan check comments may apply.CBC Section 717.2.7, Where wood sleepers are used for laying wood flooring on masonry or concrete fire-resistive floors, the space between the floor slab and the underside of the wood flooring shall be filled with non-combustible material or fire blocked in such a manner that there will be no open spaces under the flooring that will exceed 100 square feet in area and such space shall be filled solidly under all permanent partitions so that there is not communication under the flooring between adjoining rooms.Pressure treated and fire retardant wood is required.Provide framing for proposed ramp when for new raised flooring. Any accessible route of travel shall be considered a ramp if its slope is greater than 1’ rise in 20’ of horizontal run (5-percent gradient) and show compliance with CBC Sections 1010 and 1133B.5.1.CBC Section 1122B.1. Where a single counter contains more than one transaction station, such as (but not limited to) a bank counter with multiple teller windows or a retail sales counter with multiple cash register stations, at least 5 percent, but never less than one, of each type of station shall be located at a section of counter that is at least 36” long and no more than 28 to 34” high. Each counter to be accessible from both sides. Revise drawings to show compliance with following items;- Inside of proposed kiosk to besufficient in size to inscribe a circle with a diameter not less than 60 inches insize. - Provide knee space at tables at least 27” high, 30” wide and 19” deep. - Provide height of tables between 28” – 34” from the floor ground.(when applicable) Note type of safety glazing complying with CBC Section 2406 for hazardous locations listed under CBC Section 2406.3.
