APPLICABLE CODE: 2010 CALIFORNIA BUILDING CODE (CBC) WITH
CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDMENTSThe applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuancePlease see below commentsas part of recheck review of drawings and calculations. Refer to plan check report dated 8-9-2013.Submit complete structural calculations for design and justification of each and ALL existing floor and roof members subject to additional new and existing equipment loads. (5 1/4x 24, 4x14, 5 1/8 x 24) Check location of exiting column and show correct location.Submit complete truss analysis including top and bottom cord analysis when subject to new screws, (spacing not specified) for additional plywood. Calculations to consider new plywood and equipment loads for trusses modification.Also structural calculations to consider dead loads of existing and new equipment. Provide complete detail/s including attachment method based on finding and justification of structural calculations. Submit dimensioned floor framing plan.Provide reference from each detail on sheet AE5-01 to roof and floor framing sheet. Drawings are missing floor framing plan to show cross reference from sheet AE5-01, details 1 and 4.Structural drawings must be signed by structural engineer. And incorporate the results of structural calculations into drawings prior to re-submittal.CBC Section A106.1. Calculations must be presented in a clear, legible, and organized manner conducive for structural plan review. A table of contents must be provided and pages must be numbered for referencing purposes. Resubmit revised calculations showing compliance.CBC Section A106.1. A key plan must be provided for the structural members designed on all pages of calculations so that the calculations and plans may be correlated.CBC Section A106.1.
