Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings (647-5839 or 647-5700) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceOccupancies storing, handling, using, and/or selling hazardous materials, liquids, and chemicals shall submit a list of all said materials, listing their quantities and how they relate to specific California Building Code Table items. Note on the Floor Plan, type and quantity of hazardous material in each control area/racks.Indicate material name to be stored on the racks. Additional comments may apply.Occupancies using hazardous materials are subject to special requirements. It is the applicant’s/owner’s responsibility, PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL, to make this known to the Building, Planning, or Fire Departments.When there has been a change in use or occupancy classifications, drawings shall show compliance with the CBC requirements for the new classifications. All drawings and supporting documents shall be prepared, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer, CBC Sections A106.1 and A106.3.4.1.Licensed California engineer to sign and stamp attachment details. Note on the drawings and submit a copy of ICC Research Report for anchor bolts and required inspection by the engineer.Note on the drawings locations and inscriptions of 50 square inch minimum size permanent plaques installed in conspicuous locations, showing the maximum permissible unit load in clear, legible print. See your structural engineer. And provide a note on the drawings to insure compliance.(When applicable) The bottom of all posts shall be furnished with bearing plates. Drive-in, drive-through, and stacker racks shall be anchored to the floor by anchor bolts capable of resisting the horizontal shear forces caused by the horizontal and vertical loads on the rack.
