Call 647-5800 for informationThe applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance Indicate size of pilot holes on the drawings where solar panels are to be attached with 5/16” DIA lag bolts to existing roof members. Revise drawings. Submit structural calculations for vertical loads analysis by California Licensed engineer or architect for design and justification of existing roof members when subject to additional load from solar panels. Provide dimensioned roof framing plan. Call out size and spacing of each member. Show location of existing equipment and weight on the roof and include the weight of each piece of equipment in the calculation. Incorporated results of calculations into drawings prior to re-submittal. CBC Sections A106.1 and A106.3.4.1, All drawings(Architectural and structural) and supporting documents shall be prepared, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer. Indicate slop of roof and location of roof drain and insure that solar panels are not blocking the existing drainage pattern of existing roof.
