Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - County of Orange Health Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings ((714)433-6000) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceProvide the following: - Provide a fully dimensioned site plan on each set of plans. - Disabled access compliance must be shown on the site plan.Show location of outdoor seating area on the site plan.Type of occupancy for restaurants with 50 people or more is A2.Sheet A3 is not included.CBC Section 1133B.2.5, Note on the drawings: “Maximum effort to operate doors shall not exceed 5 pounds for exterior doors and interior doors, such pull or push effort being applied at right angles to hinged doors and at the center place of sliding or folding doors. Compensating devices or automatic door operators may be utilized to meet the above standards. When fire doors are required, the maximum effort to operate the door may be increased to the minimum allowable by the appropriate administrative authority, not to exceed 15 pounds.It is the project designer’s/property owner’s responsibility to show compliance on the drawings with all applicable Federal and State Accessibility Standards.Drawings submitted to the Building Division for review shall provide the following information to insure compliance with CBC Section 1134B/Chapter 11B: - An accessible entrance - An accessible route to the altered area- Accessible restrooms - Accessible telephone (if any) - Accessible drinking fountains, and - Parking, signage and alarmsIf a walk crosses or adjoins a vehicular way, and the walking surfaces are not separated by curbs, railings or other elements between the pedestrian areas and vehicular areas, the boundary between the areas shall be defined by a continuous detectable warning which is 36” wide, complying with the CBC Section 1133B.8.5. Detectable Warning Product Approval. Only approved Division of the State Architect, Access Compliance (DSA/AC) approved detectable warning products and directional surfaces shall be installed in accordance with CBC Section 1133B.8.5.CBC Section 1129B.3. Revise the drawings to show disabled accessible parking space loading/unloading aisle on the PASSENGER SIDE.The maximum slope for Loading /unloading is 2%, please clarify on the site plan.Provide truncated dome for the entire curd length of the curb ramp.Provide completely dimensioned floor plans, elevations and sections of sanitary facility insuring wheelchair clearances complying with CBC Section 1115B and the California Plumbing Code.Show minimum 18” clearance to the strike edge of the changing room door.Show changing room is in compliance w/ disabled access.Show employee locker is in compliance with disabled access.Show height of the sitting bench in the waiting room.Provide minimum 36” clearance at the POS counter, (see red mark).Show exactly location and length of the 34 “ high counter at the service area.Provide elevation of ice machine and other equipment that are available to the customers and they are in compliance with disabled access.Complete the attached Disabled Accessibility Documentation Form.Provide structural calculations and drawings, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer for: - New mechanical equipment on roof (note on Roof Framing Plan weight of each existing and new piece of equipment on the roof) - Structural support of shaft(s) and/or hood(s)Show weight of the hood on the drawings.Is there any new roof top unit, if there is show the location on the roof plan , provide the weight and engineering calculation .Show location of detail 4/A2 and 3/A2 on the drawings.
