The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.- Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings (647-5839 or 647-5700) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceThe drawings/information submitted for Building Safety Division review is incomplete. The applicant shall, prior to resubmitting, complete all construction documents to show compliance with the 2013 California Building Standards Code with local amendments and to clearly indicate the scope of work under this building permit application. There may be additional requirements when complete construction drawings and supporting data is submitted for Building Safety Division review. Please re-submit complete drawings.All drawings and supporting documents shall be prepared, stamped, and signed by a California licensed architect or registered engineer. (A106.1 and A106.3.4.1).One hour construction throughout is required for existing 1 hour rated building. All fire resistive assembly must be referred to Table 7 and item number on the drawings. Provide a copy of fire rated assembly and item number on the drawings.Drawings submitted to the Building Division for review shall provide the following complete drawing/information to insure compliance with Division 2 of 2013 CBC for existing buildings. - An accessible entrance - An accessible route to the altered area - Accessible restrooms - Accessible telephone (if any) - Accessible drinking fountains, and - Parking, signage and alarmsValuation of proposed project is calculated as $97,971.12. A minimum of 20% of valuation of construction is required to be spent towards providing disabled access in the priority order noted in the immediate previous item. Revise the drawings to show compliance. Show both existing elements and how they will be upgraded to current standards. Complete dimensioned floor plan, elevation and section/s is required.Additional plan check comments to follow.
