Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceShow on the plans:
- Type of Construction – Revise to be TYPE II-A Fire SprinkleredLabel and note hourly fire rating of:
- Fire barriers – All demising walls to be rated minimum 1-hour to future occupancy separation.
- ShaftsProvide a wall legend indicating whether the wall is:
- Existing, new, or to be removed
- A fire-resistive assembly
- Differentiate between required rated walls and interior partition walls.Provide on the drawings a complete “fire resistance design schedule” which shall include the following:
- The building elements which require fire-resistive construction.
- The hourly rating of the building element as required by the Code.
- Evidence of appropriate fire resistance for each building element in accordance with specific UL listing or ICC
Evaluation Report for each material selected. Evidence shall include appropriate material thickness for each
building element.
- Non-standard fire-resistive designs requiring adhesives, overcoats, metal lath-netting, or special thicknesses
shall be detailed.Reference each fire-resistive assembly to a CBC Chapter 7, Table and Item number:
- Walls
- Columns
- Fire barriersPlans shall indicate how required structural and fire resistive integrity will be maintained where a penetration will be made for electrical, mechanical, plumbing and communication conduits, pipes and similar systems. CBC Section 106.1.1 and CBC Chapter 7. Note on the plans the ICC Research Report number, U.L. number, State Fire Marshal number, or approval number of another agency accepted by the City of Santa Ana.Provide on the drawings a complete door schedule, showing:
- Door sizes (CBC Sections 1008.1.1 and 1133B.2) – CALLOUT EXISTING DOORS.
- Hardware complying with exiting and disabled accessibility requirements (CBC Sections 1008.1.8 and
1133B.2.5)
- Fire-rating of door assembly complying with CBC Section 715 Opening ProtectionCBC Section 1008.1.8, Note on drawing: “Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort.”It is the project designer’s/property owner’s responsibility to show compliance on the drawings with all applicable Federal and State Accessibility Standards.Drawings submitted to the Building Division for review shall provide the following information to insure compliance with CBC Section 1134B/Chapter 11B:
- An accessible entrance
- An accessible route to the altered area
- Accessible restrooms
- Accessible telephone (if any)
- Accessible drinking fountains, and
- Parking, signage and alarmsPriority shall be given to those elements that will provide the greatest access in the above order.CBC Section 1114B.1.2, 1114B.1.3. and 1129B.3, Item 3. Entrance(s) to the building or facility and primary path of travel to the specific area of new work, alteration, structural repair or addition shall be accessible. Path of travel incorporated all elements from the exterior arrival site to remodeled area.CBC Section 1129B.1. Accessible parking spaces serving a particular building shall be located on the shortest accessible route of travel from adjacent parking to an accessible entrance. In parking facilities that do not serve a particular building, accessible parking shall be located on the shortest accessible route of travel to an accessible pedestrian entrance of the parking facility.Plumbing facilities shall be provided in accordance with the California Plumbing Code (CPC) Section 412.0 and CPC Table 4-1. Provide plumbing fixture calculations.Please update index to include structural plans. Revise structural plan number for duplicate SD-1Revise total occupant load to 502 to match sum on Sheet A004Demising wall construction – detail fire rated wall construction for “fire barriers” for required occupancy separations with future tenants.
