Call 647-5800 for information.] The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance: -Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. -Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840). -Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). -Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance. - School District Compliance Certificate; and a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work. Provide a fully dimensioned Site Plan on the drawings and on a separate 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of paper. This project is in a special flood hazard area designated on the flood insurance rate map (FIRM) as zone AE. This zone requires that the lowest finish floor elevation of the structure shall be at (or above) base flood elevation at (or above) the base flood elevation specified for the AE zone, on the flood insurance rate map. Drawings shall show compliance with said ordinance including noting flood zone and finish floor elevation." ELEVATION CERTIFICATEsubmitted checked as “Finished Construction”. Please revise this and mark it based on: “Construction Drawings”. The completed ELEVATION CERTIFICATE must be submitted to the Building Inspector at the time of foundation inspection, and a final certificate must be submitted at the time of final inspection."For roof covering specify: -Manufacturer and type of built-up roof. -Roof coverings shall have at least a Class "C" rating. Show how dwelling is provided with comfort heating facilities capable of maintaining a room temperature of 68oF at a point of 3 feet above the floor in all habitable rooms. This addition shall conform to the State Energy Conservation Standards. Submit forms and calculations for review and blueprint the final forms on the plans. The submitted Title 24 calculation calls for R-19 ceiling/roof insulation and showing SHGC for new windows around .65 (something is not right). Also, The submitted Title 24 calculation calls HVAC Systems and Water Heating to be altered. Please clarify how these systems will be altered? -The permit applicant shall be responsible for obtaining an energy plan check from a consultant who is qualified to perform an energy efficiency analysis in accordance with the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 24, Part 1 (Administration) and Part 6 (2008 California Energy Code). The plan check consultant must sign documentation certifying that a thorough, competent review has been performed on behalf of the Enforcement Agency. -The energy plan check consultant must sign documentation forms on behalf of the Building Safety Division. -Refer to the attached public handouts titled “Energy Efficiency Compliance” and “Energy Efficiency Compliance Documentation”. Show underfloor ventilation opening size and locations equal to 1 sq. ft. for each 150 sq. ft. of underfloor area. Openings shall be as close to corners as practical and shall provide cross ventilation along the length of at least two opposite sides. Openings shall have ¼ inch corrosion resistant metal mesh covering. Roof drain overflow scuppers shall have at least 3 times the size of the roof drain it serves and may be installed in adjacent parapet walls with the inlet flow line located 2 inches above the low point of the adjacent roof. Small localized sump is not considered the low point of the roof for this requirement. The double hung window “A” was called out for bedroom # 3. It does not seems to have code required dimensions for escape window (See CRC R310). Please show compliance on the plan. Same situation applies for bedroom #2 windows. See other red marks on the plan. Please resubmit the marked up set with new and revised plans.
