This review does not include mechanical, plumbing or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information. Please remove electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing drawings.
The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.
Specify angel /degree for existing 2x4 bracing to justify that the weight of new equipment located on the roof to be transferred to interior bearing wall via bracing and not to roof rafters. Specify the nailing for 2x4 bracing to be capable for additional dead load of equipment.
Clarify if interior bearing wall and foundation system is verified by as built drawings and provide a copy on the drawings.
For detail number 2 specify pilot hole for new ½”x 3” lag screw. Specify roof slop and consider the weight of equipment based on the degree of slop and provide calculations for design and justification base on dead load plus wind load. Revise drawings.
Void detail/s that does not apply to this project on Section detail B-B and clarify if 2 x sleepersare provided to distribute the weight of equipment on the roof rafters.
Engineer to provide a statement on the drawings as how the weight of equipment would affect existing shear resisting elements of existing house in his/her professional opinion.
Indicate ICC approved sealing for all roof penetrations on the drawings.
