Please call (714) 647-5831 for an appointment.(FYI) This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 714-647-5800 for information. Please remove electrical, mechanical and plumbing sheets.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceIncorporate results of structural calculations into drawings. Minimum size drawing is 18”x24”. Engineer to sign and stamp drawings. Provide dimensioned floor area and other applicable detail/s that can be verified by field inspection.Show clear path of exit travel from existing exit doors from restaurant through awning area to side walk. Every portion of every building in which are installed seats, tables, merchandise, equipment, or similar materials shall be provided with aisles leading to an exit. Every aisle shall not be less than 36” wide if serving only one side, and not less than 44” wide if serving both sides. Provide dimensions to insure compliance on the drawingsPlease note on the drawings that new awning area to be equipped with Sprinkled system and under a separate permit. Show two exits when occupant load of proposed awning is 50 people or more. Minimum distance between exit doors (1/3D when equipped with Sprinkler) to comply with Section 1015.2.1 of 2013 CBC.Show location of accessible seating/tables based on Table 11B-221.2.1.1 of 2013 CBC (51 to 150 seats, requires 4 accessible seating). -Provide a minimum 30” x 48” wheelchair clear floor space.
- Provide knee space at tables at least 27” high, 30” wide and 19” deep.
- Provide height of tables between 28” – 34” from the floor ground.
