Please confirm appointment time by calling 714-647-5831 or by responding to this e-mail.Please refer to red marks on the drawings for plan check comments. Revise drawings and re-submit. The drawings submitted for Building Safety Division is incomplete. Revisedarchitectural and structural drawings to show compliance with red marks on the drawings and the following codes:- 2013 California Residential Code (CRC)
- 2013 California Building Code (CBC)
- 2013 California Electrical Code (CEC), when applicable
- 2013 California Mechanical Code (CMC)when applicable
- 2013 California Plumbing Code (CPC)when applicable
- 2013 California Energy Code (CEnC)
- City of Santa Ana Municipal Code2. Submit complete floor plan of existing and new floor area. Label all existing new rooms on the drawings. Walls of dwelling units without an automatic residential fire sprinkler protection with a fire separation distance less than 5 feet are required to have a full one hour rating. (CRC Table R302.1 (1)). And Projections of dwelling units without an automatic residential fire sprinkler protection are not permitted less than 2 feet to the property line and are required to be 1 hour fire rated on the underside with a fire separation distance between 2 feet and 5 feet. (CRC Table R302.1 (1)) 4. Submit structural calculations for vertical and lateral analysis for proposed addition.Incorporate results of structural calculations into drawings prior to re-submittal. Structural drawings to be signed and stamped by California Licensed architect or engineer. 5. Please Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.(when needed) Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. This review does not include mechanical, plumbing or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.
The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.
