Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceProvide the following: - Disabled access compliance must be shown on the site plan.CBC Section 717.2.2, Provide fire blocking in concealed spaces of stud walls and partitions, including furred spaces at the ceiling and floor level and at 10 ft. intervals both vertical and horizontal.Complete all soffit and furred out wall details. Provide complete detailing, including number, type, location of fasteners and how attachment is made to the building structure. Show compliance with CBC Section 803.CBC Section 1133B.2.5, Note on the drawings: “Maximum effort to operate doors shall not exceed 5 pounds for exterior doors and interior doors, such pull or push effort being applied at right angles to hinged doors and at the center place of sliding or folding doors. Compensating devices or automatic door operators may be utilized to meet the above standards. When fire doors are required, the maximum effort to operate the door may be increased to the minimum allowable by the appropriate administrative authority, not to exceed 15 pounds.It is the project designer’s/property owner’s responsibility to show compliance on the drawings with all applicable Federal and State Accessibility Standards.Enlarge site plan to clearly show path of travel is in compliance with disabled access. (from disabled parking to the building) Drawings submitted to the Building Division for review shall provide the following information to insure compliance with CBC Section 1134B/Chapter 11B: - An accessible entrance - An accessible route to the altered area - Accessible restrooms) - Parking, signage and alarmsShow bathroom dimensions are in compliance with disabled access.If a walk crosses or adjoins a vehicular way, and the walking surfaces are not separated by curbs, railings or other elements between the pedestrian areas and vehicular areas, the boundary between the areas shall be defined by a continuous detectable warning which is 36” wide, complying with the CBC Section 1133B.8.5. Detectable Warning Product Approval. Only approved Division of the State Architect, Access Compliance (DSA/AC) approved detectable warning products and directional surfaces shall be installed in accordance with CBC Section 1133B.8.5.CBC Section 1127B.5. Item 4. Curb ramps shall comply with CBC Section 1127B.5. A level landing 4’ deep shall be provided at the upper end of each curb ramp over its full width to permit safe egress from the ramp surface, or the slope of the fanned or flared sides of the curb ramp shall not exceed 1 unit vertical to 12 units horizontal (8.33% slope).CBC Section 1110B.1.3, Check Stands CBC Table 11B-2: NUMBER OF REGULARNUMBER TO BE CHECKSTANDSACCESSIBLE 1 to 41 5 to 82 9 to 153 Over 153 plus 20% of additional aisles - In new and existing construction, accessible check stands shall provide a clear checkout aisle width of 36” with a maximum adjoining counter height not exceeding 38” above the finish floor. - The top of the counter lip shall not exceed 40” above the finish floor. - Accessible check stands shall always be open to customers with disabilities and shall be identified by a sign clearly visible to those in wheelchairs. The sign shall display the international symbol of accessibility in white on a blue background and shall state “This check stand to be open at all times for customers with disabilities.”Complete the attached Disabled Accessibility Documentation Form.Show reception desk is in compliance with disabled access.Provide 48” landing at the bathroom and facial room door.
