Please call (714) 647-5862 for an appointment. All revised drawings and supporting documents shall be prepared, stamped, and signed by a California licensed architect or registered engineer. All persons preparing plans for others shall sign those plans. Business and Professions Code Chapter 3, Division 3, Section 5536.1 (a). This review does not include electrical work. Separate plan, application, fee, plan check, and permitis required for electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information. The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance: -Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. -Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). -Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.For roof covering specify for the roof extension: -Manufacturer and type of built-up roof. -Roof slope(s) of all new areas on the roof plan. -Roof coverings shall have at least a Class "C" rating. Show the location(s) of Carbon monoxide alarm(s) in each unit per Section 420.6.2.2 of CBC.Provide construction details and structural calculation for the new guards at the extended edge of balcony. Guard shall have a minimum of: 42 inch high with openings between balusters/rails shall preclude passage of 4 inch. See Section 1013 of CBC.The guards assemblies shall be designed to resist a load of 50 plf applied in any direction at the top and to transfer this load through the supports to the structure. Also, it has to resist a concentrated load of 200 pounds applied in any direction at any point along the top, and have attachment devices and supporting structure to transfer this load to appropriate structural elements of the building. The following items on the cover sheet shall be updated; occupancy group for this motel is R-1 and the code reference for the note # 19 shall change from r315.1 to CBC 420.6.2.2.
