The recheck for your project was done today, 02-28-2016, and it is approved subject to approvals required under item # 6 below. Plans are placed at the plan check counter. Please pick up these plans, obtain the approvals and pull the building permit.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5862 for an appointment.The drawings/information submitted for Building Safety Division review is incomplete.Submitted design does not show steps require for shoring up the existing structure to install continuous concrete footing under the exterior walls.
This review does not include mechanical, plumbing or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.
The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
-Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).
-Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.Show the location(s) of smoke alarms in each sleeping room and at a point centrally located in the corridor or area giving access to each sleeping area. Show location(s) of carbon monoxide alarm(s) for this project.
Note on the drawings required construction inspections. The engineer or architect in responsible charge of the structural design work shall include in the construction documents the following:
- Concrete where the design ƒ ’c exceeds 2,500 psi.
- The structural engineer of record shall provide periodic and final inspections for all structural
elements to ensure completed construction agrees with his/her design. Prior to the Building Safety
Division's final inspection, the structural engineer of record shall submit a letter to the Building Official
certifying completed structural elements.
