Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5839 or 647-5700). -Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). - Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance. - School District Compliance Certificate; and a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of the work Show sizes of the roof/deck drains and overflows. (1503 and PC) Provide an overflow. All Required Handrail shall be one of the followings: ( CRC section R311.7.8.3) Type I, Handrail with a circular section shall have an outside diameter of at least 11/4 inches and not greater than 2 inches. If the handrail is not circular, it shall have a perimeter dimension of at least 4 inches and not greater than 6.5 inches, with a maximum cross section of 21/4 inches. Type II, Handrail with a perimeter greater than 6.5 inches shall have a graspable finger recess area on both sides of the profile. The finger recess shall begin within a distance of ¾ inch measured vertically from the tallest portion of the profile and achieve a depth of at least 5/10 inch within 7/8 inch below the widest portion of the profile. This depth should continue for at least 3/8 inch below the tallest portion of the profile. The minimum width of the handrail above the recess shall be 11/4 inch to a maximum of 2 ¾. Edges shall have a minimum radius of 0.01 inch.Provide notes and details to show compliance with type II. It appears from the detail provided, you are using type II railing. Sheet S2 2nd floor, The ceiling joists are supposed to act as a rafter tie. They appear to be stopped short. Please make sure by showing on plans continuous ceiling joists or otherwise properly overlapped..
