CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDMENTSMeetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5848 for an appointment.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceCorrect the type of correction shown on the plans for the building.Steel storage racks and their anchorage, located inside the sales area or areas where the public are allowed in must be designed using an importance factor of1.5 inaccordance with Section 15.5.3 of ASCE 7.There are two issue that need to be addressed one is the type of construction of the building including whether or not the building is sprinklered. The type pf construction is called out differently and the building is called as sprinklered and not sprinkled. If the building is sprinklered, the sprinkler submittal could be differed and submitted at a later date, a not should be added to the plans to indicate that. The second issue is whether the area is open to the public as indicated in the note above. It is is not, please specify this on the plans otherwise use the proper importance factor. This issue was not addressed in the response to the correction comments.
