If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3 corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5848 for an appointment.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings (647-5839 or 647-5700). - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840). - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039). - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.All drawings submitted for reference only should be identified as such.Provide a detail to show how the Treated wood would be supported on the existing roof, and how is the unit supported on the wood member. Provide clear water proofing detail for any penetrations through the weather proof assembly.Please note that this building is of Type II fire rated; in addition, there are rated shafts and corridors. Please identify on the plans all rated walls, what type of rated walls ( fire walls, fire barriers, or fire partitions) and show how the penetrations will be treated, whether they are a trough penetration or membrane penetrations.( Please note the information provided regarded the penetration is not adequate; type and size of pipes need to be identified, please note limitations in chapter 7.. In addition, plans call a wall as a fire wall; please note that these designations are used in the building code, a fire wall is usually used to separate the building into two, I don’t think this exists in this Type II building. Further a detail was provided for penetrating 1-hour wall constructions, which wall in this “identify on plans”. Is it a corridor wall, a stair enclosure, an elevator shaft etc. The details provided by the designer should be shown on plans; in addition, the plan showing the location of the condenser should be signed by design engineer.
