See the list below for Items # 4, 14, 17, & 18. For items # 14 and 18,please provide construction details for the exit discharges at the North and South sides of the DATA CENTER building to show compliance with chapter 11B of CBC for after the existing buildings are demoed. For item # 17, please show relocation of accessible parking stalls for the DATA CENTER building before the recordation of the MAP for this project. Since the existing accessible parking stalls for the DATA CENTER building will ends up on a different lot than the building. Provide a note on the plan to indicate that the existing exit signs of the DATA CENTER building will be modified to meet the exiting routes during the demo phases. APPLICABLE CODE: 2013 CALIFORNIA BUILDING CODE (CBC) WITH CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDMENTSPlease indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Grading Permit. Application is made through the Building Safety Division (647-5800) and the plan review is by the Public Works Agency (647-5039) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuancePlease make a note on these plans that NO DEMO WORK for the warehouses on the North, South, and West sides shall take place until the CMU wall at the West side of the Data center is permitted, constructed and its permit is final.Provide structural calculation and construction details for Data center building to insure that this portion of the building can meet Chapter 16 of CBC and ASCE 7-10 after the warehouses on the North, South and West sides are demoed.Provide construction details for the North, the South and the west walls of the Data center building to show how the roof diaphragm is attached to these walls, will transfer the lateral loads, and will be maintained and protected during demo work.Provide construction details on these plans to show parapets on the South and West walls of the Date center building complying with CBC Section 705.11. Note on the plans: All new exterior walls of the Data center building to meet weather protection requirements per Section 1405 of CBC. Provide the following: - Provide a fully dimensioned site plan on each set of plans.The proposed demo plan shows property lines on the North, the West, and the South sides of the Data center building. If these PL lines are proposed, please call them as proposed on the site plan. - Disabled access compliance must be shown on the site plan for the Data center building. - Show all property lines of record on the site plan. Show compliance with CBC Sections: 705, 715, 722.2.13, 716.5, and CBC Tables 601, 602, and 705.8.Show on the plans for the Data center: - Complete legal description - Assessor’s Parcel Number - Project Address/ after demolition of remaining warehouses on the North, South and Westside. - Occupancy Classification(s) - Type of Construction - Area tabulation justifying floor area(s) of building(s) (CBC Sections 503, 506, and CBC Table 503) - Fire Sprinkler System (State purpose of sprinkler system, for example, area increase under CBC Section 506.3, required by CBC Section 903 for type of occupancy, etc.) - Number, width, and purpose (cite code section) of yards requiredLabel and note hourly fire rating of: - Exterior walls of the Data center building with the proposed new Pl lines. - Justify the openings in the south wall of the Data center building with respect to proposed PL lines. See Table 705.8 and Table 716.5 of CBC. - Remove and replace all wall joints in the south wall of the Data center building with a fire-resistant joint system to comply with Section 722.2.13 of CBC.Provide complying exiting plan for the “reminder” area. Existing Data center building relays on the existing rated corridors on the North and South sides within the proposed demo areas for its exiting system. The proposed demo plan submitted for plan check is demoing these rated corridors without any alternative to keep the existing system of this building in compliance with the CBC.Exiting from any occupied building or structure on the subject site must be continuous, unobstructed, and undiminished to a public way. This includes corridors on the North and South sides of Data center building. Revise drawings to show compliance.If the Data center building is to be occupied during the demo work, provide proper protection for its exiting systems during demo work. These plans shall show locations, types, materials, engineering calculation and construction details for any pedestrian protection systems for the exiting of Data center building. Show compliance with Section 1006 of CBC for means of egress illumination of the Data center at the North and South sides. Drawings submitted to the Building Division for review shall provide the following information to insure compliance with CBC Chapter 11B: - Accessible Parking for the Data center building.Provide a continuous walking surface from each exit door to public way.Any obstruction that overhangs a pedestrian’s way shall be a minimum of 80” above the walking surface as measured from the bottom of the obstruction.Accessible parking spaces serving a particular building shall be located on the shortest accessible route of travel from adjacent parking to an accessible entrance. Parking spaces must be located so that the disabled are not compelled to walk or wheel behind parked cars other than their own.One in every six accessible spaces, but not less than one, shall be served by an access aisle 8’-0” (96”) wide minimum and shall be designated van accessible The words NO PARKING shall be painted on the ground within each eight’ loading and unloading access aisle. This notice shall be painted in white letters no less than 12” high and located so that it is visible to traffic enforcement officials.
