APPLICABLE CODE: 2013 CALIFORNIA BUILDING CODE (CBC) WITH CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDMENTSPlease indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuancePlease make a note on the plan for the future elevator to be installed with proper building and electrical permits and the elevator shall comply with the most stringent requirements of the State of California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 8, subchapter 6, State Elevator Safety Regulations and the California Building Code Chapters 11B & 30. CBC Section 1018.4, Dead ends. Where more than one exit or exit access doorway is required, the exit access shall be arranged such that there are no dead ends in corridors more than 20’ in length. Except: - In occupancies in Groups B and F where the building is equipped throughout with an automatic sprinkler system in accordance with Section 903.3.1.1, the length of dead-end corridors shall not exceed 50’.When corridor walls are required to be of one-hour fire-resistive construction by Section 1018, every interior door opening shall be protected by a tight-fitting smoke-and-draft-control assembly having a fire-protection rating of not less than 20 minutes. The door and frame shall bear an approved label or other identification showing the rating. Doors shall be maintained self-closing or shall be automatic closing by actuation of a smoke detector in accordance with Section 716.5. Smoke-and-draft-control door assemblies shall be provided with a gasket so installed as to provide a seal where the door meets the stop on both sides and across the top.Show compliance for doors # 121 & 126 on sheet A.21.CBC Section 1005.7.1. Doors, when fully opened, shall not reduce the required width by more than 7”. Doors in any position shall not reduce the required width by more than one-half. Show compliance for the doors in the rated corridor as marked on sheet A.21A.If a walk crosses or adjoins a vehicular way, and the walking surfaces are not separated by curbs, railings or other elements between the pedestrian areas and vehicular areas, the boundary between the areas shall be defined by a continuous detectable warning which is 36” wide.Show compliance and the plans.Sanitary facilities serving the area of new work shall be disabled accessible. Revise the drawings to show compliance with CBC Section11B-604.8.1.1.2.Provide 60” wide X 60” deep in front of water closet for toilet rooms # 122, & 123 as show on sheet A.31.Provide completely dimensioned floor plans, elevations and sections of sanitary facility insuring wheelchair clearances complying with CBC Section 11B-604.7 for toilet paper dispenser.The dispensers to be located Min 7” and max. 9” in front of the water closet. Please update sheet A.31The reference code sections to be up dated on sheet A.01 (Notes # 24 & 27); and sheet A.60 (Notes 1 & 2).Provide framing details for closing the opening of relocating the existing stair.See red marks on the following sheets of the drawings: A.01, A.21, A.21A, A.23, A.23A, A.27, A.31, A.60, S-1, and SD-3.
