If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3 corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5848 for an appointment.Please return marked up set of drawings with corrections.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)Egress from a room or space shall not pass through adjoining or intervening rooms or areas, except where such adjoining rooms or areas are accessory to the area served, are not a high hazard occupancy and provide a discernible path of egress travel to an exit.( you might have to show some furniture plans to show that the path of travel is continuous to the exit doors).CBC Section 1008.1.2, Revolving, sliding, and overhead doors serving an occupant load of more than 10 shall not be used as required exits. ( revolving doors as shown on electric plans cannot be used in front of the exit path. (the Turnstiles seems to obstruct the path of travel please see section 1008.3) Sheet A02.201S Can’t have a corridor going through a work area. A discernable path should be provide to an exit.( You might have to provide furniture plan to show that the exit access is continuous.) Classroom 1522 second exit is going through a corridor going through a work area same comment as the one above. The discernable path applies to the area shaded too. This area seems to be part of the demolition plan and must be provided with proper exits.( otherwise add a comments on the plans that this space will not be occupied without a Tenant improvement permit. Please note that the demolition plan seems to include this space. Identify on floor plans which exit door will have a card reader and will not be openable from the inside without the use of a key or special effort. ( Door schedule ;sheet A02.200 is not provided as part of these plans). Provide an elevation that shows the full height of the ceilings at both levels.(please clarify the actual height of the partitions from the elevations called out at the ceiling plans). Provide draft stop in all concealed ceilings where there is combustible construction. It appears both the floor framing and the roof framing are of combustible construction.( You need to show a draft stop plan in the concealed area to separate the different spaces above the suspended ceiling). Dimension the water closet per section 11B-604, show door encroachments per the details provide in 11B-604. Show site accessibility, site accessibility should be provided from the public way, public transportation, and accessible parking. Provide an enlarged site plan that shows the location of truncated domes wherever required. Please make sure you have the green building code requirements and checklist on plans.
