If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceProvide pedestrian protection in accordance with CBC Section 3306. Show location and type of protection on plan view. Provide typical construction details, sections, and elevations of pedestrian protection required. Pedestrian protection constructed within a public right of way shall require a building permit issued by the Building Safety Division and a separate approval from the City’s Public Works Agency (714) 647-5039.Show location and floor area of existing covered carports on the drawings and show location of fire rated walls separating the existing carports. Indicate if carport area is equipped with Fire sprinkler system. Revise drawing to show one hour construction (Type V-A) per City recorded for proposed and existing carports and new garage. Reference each fire-resistive assembly to a CBC Chapter 7, Table and Item number: (provide a copy of rated assembly on the drawings for inspection verification) - Walls - Ceilings - ColumnsPlease note that motel projects are required to comply with accessibility standards as noted in Chapter 11-B, Division II of 2013 CBC. Valuation of proposed project is estimated at $20,200.00. A minimum of 20% of valuation of construction is required to be spent towards providing disabled access in the priority order noted in Chapter11-B, 2013 CBC.Drawings submitted to the Building Division for review shall provide the following information (Drawing/details) to insure compliance with Chapter11-B, 2013 CBC. - An accessible entrance - An accessible route to the altered area - Accessible restrooms - Accessible telephone (if any) - Accessible drinking fountains, and - Parking, signage and alarmsPriority shall be given to those elements that will provide the greatest access in the above order.Show compliance with Table 11B-208.2 of CBC for required number of covered accessible parking spaces and Section 11B-502.5 for vertical clearance of 98” minimum for proposed garage or show compliantnumber and location including path of travel of covered accessible parking spaces on the site plan. Additional plan check comments may apply. Clarify the rooms/area that proposed garage is to be serving. Show accessible pathof travel from proposed garage to office/motel rooms, etc. on the drawings.Please complete attached CalGreen Forms and provide a copy on each sets of drawings.On the drawings, provide Nailing Schedule on the drawings.
