Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceSubmit a signed copy of the contract showing labor and materials for all work to be done under the subject building permit application. The plan check engineer may accept the contract price as the valuation of improvements for unique/unusual projects in lieu of using a cost per square foot basis.Provide the following: - Provide a fully dimensioned site plan on each set of plans. - Disabled access compliance must be shown on the site plan.Please identify which floors bathrooms are being remodeled.Provide typical section view detail of all new partitions and ceilings showing: - Provide on the drawings details for the lateral support of partitions, rails and similar space dividers less than 5’ 9” in height.Provide construction detail for Glass/Aluminum store front to show how to provide lateral support. Also please provide thickness of the glazing and if it is tempered.On detail B/AD-1 Provide gauge for the bottom track.Provide complying exiting plan for the “remainder” area. Note the use of adjacent units. (SUITE 625 and 650)CBC Section 1015.2.1, Two exits or exit access doorways. Where two exits or exit access doorways are required from any portion of the exit access, the exit doors or exit access doorways shall be placed a distance apart equal to not less than one-half of the length of the maximum overall diagonal dimension of the building or area to be served measured in a straight line between exit doors or exit access doorways. Interlocking or scissor stairs shall be counted as one exit stairway.CBC Section 1023.4, Exit continuity. Exits shall be continuous from the point of entry into the exit to the exit discharge.Exit doors shall swing in the direction of exit travel when serving an occupant load of 50 or more. CBC Section 1018.5, Air movement in corridors. Corridors shall not serve as supply, return, exhaust, relief or ventilation air ducts when required to be fire-resistive rated in accordance with Table 1017.1.Provide specifications for doors hardware (i.e., lever type, push-pull panic, etc) to comply with disabled access requirements. CBC Section 11BCBC Section 11BHand-activated door opening hardware shall be centered between 30” and 44” above the floor. Latching and locking doors that are hand activated and which are in a path of travel shall be operable with a single effort by lever-type hardware, by panic bars, push-pull activating bars, or other hardware designed to provide passage without requiring the ability to grasp the opening hardware. Locked exit doors shall operate as above in egress direction.Provide minimum 36” at all the openingsIt is the project designer’s/property owner’s responsibility to show compliance on the drawings with all applicable Federal and State Accessibility Standards.Drawings submitted to the Building Division for review shall provide the following information to insure compliance with CBC Section 1134B/Chapter 11B: - An accessible entrance - An accessible route to the altered area - Accessible restrooms - Accessible telephone (if any) - Accessible drinking fountains, and - Parking, signage and alarmsOn the floor plan show location of the bathroom that serving altered area.If a walk crosses or adjoins a vehicular way, and the walking surfaces are not separated by curbs, railings or other elements between the pedestrian areas and vehicular areas, the boundary between the areas shall be defined by a continuous detectable warning which is 36” wide, complying with the CBC Section 11B Detectable Warning Product Approval. Only approved Division of the State Architect, Access Compliance (DSA/AC) approved detectable warning products and directional surfaces shall be installed in accordance with CBC Section 11B.CBC Sections 1115B and 1210. Sanitation facility toilet room floors shall have a smooth, hard, non-absorbent surface such as Portland cement, concrete, ceramic tile or other approved material which extends upward onto the walls at least 6”. Walls within 2’ of the front and sides of urinals and water closets shall be similarly finished to a height of 4’.CBC Section 1607.7. Provide complete grab bar details on the drawings showing compliance with structural strength to support a 250 pound point load. Note on the drawings hot water and drain pipes under lavatory shall be insulated.Show 7” – 9” clear from the toilet to the toilet paper dispenser.Complete the attached Disabled Accessibility Documentation Form.Please fillout attached SB-407 and copy it on the drawings.Unable to find ICC report ER 4071 for T-bar ceiling noted on sheet AD-1.
