All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5862 for an appointment.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Orange County Fire Authority approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100)
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceLabel and note hourly fire rating of:
- Existing stair enclosures
- New rated vestibules
- HallwaysThe width of the level area on the side to which the door swings shall extend 18” past the edge for interior doors.Show compliance for door # 404 on sheet A2.4 of drawings.CBC Section 1006, Requires means of egress from all occupied parts of the building be provided with at least 1’ candle of light at floor level. Show compliance on the drawings.Sanitary facilities serving the area of new work shall be disabled accessible. Please provide a clear note on the plans to indicate that existing restrooms on floors 4, 5, & 6 complies with CBC chapter 11B.Provide clear notes on the plans and construction details to show compliance with requirements of CBC Sections 909.20.1 through 909.20.6 for new rated vestibules at each stair enclosure on floors 5 & 6.Provide a clear wall legend for all the walls forming the proposed rated vestibules to comply with 2-hour rated walls per section 909.20 of CBC.The word “corridor” for the proposed vestibules shall be changed to: “Vestibule” to be in compliance with the CBC Section 909.20.The clear space between doors in series in the vestibule to be 48” per CBC Section 11B-404.2.6. Show compliance for doors in the new vestibules on floor 5 &6.The door swing for the doors between corridor C001 & reception 501 and the door north of conference room 542 shall swing in direction of exit travel. See red marks on sheet A1.5. revise the drawing to show compliance. Provide a note on the plans for all existing rated doors for the stairs and elevator lobbies to be altered to receive a Card Reader shall be recertified for their rating after alteration.For detail 5/A8.1 of drawings, please specify the fasteners diameter and minimum embedment. See red marks on the following sheets of drawing. Sheet A1.4, A1.5, A1.6, A2.4, A2.5, A2.6, A3.5, A3.6, A4.4, A4.5, A4.6, A6.1, A6.2, A6.4, A7.1, A8.1, & A8.2. Please resubmit the marked up set with new and updated drawings for recheck.
