If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5830 for an appointment.Structural calculations page 6 through 9 indicate connection design between HVAC units and roof curb using 4-1/4” diameter Simpson screws. Provide structural connection detail on roof plans or on the roof curb detail. Sheet AC5.01 and AC5.02 shows specifications cut sheets. However, connection details between roof curbs and HVAC units are not provided.Structural calculations have been provided on analysis of existing purlins, simple-supported glulam beams, and cantilever glulam beam. Two beams in the calculations indicate the actual bending moment exceeds its allowable bending capacity. Although one percent over capacity appears relatively minor, Engineer On Record shall provide justifications on acceptance criteria of such design. Provide a structural roof framing plan. Indicate existing purlins, simple-supported glulam beams, and cantilever glulam beam where new HVAC units are located. Identify beam size and span length matching structural calculations. In addition, Engineer on Record for structural portion shall stamp and sign all structural drawings on the plan.
