All drawings and supporting documents shall be prepared, stamped, and signed by a California licensed architect or registered professional engineer. (The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance: -Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.Provide a complete full-height section and details of stairway showing: (CRC R311.7) - Maximum rise of 7 inches and minimum run (tread) of 11 inches. - Minimum width of 36 inches. - Framing (stringer, landing, etc.) size, bracing, connections, footings. - Stairways positively anchored to the primary structure without using toe nails or nails subject to withdrawal. Stairways within dwelling units and exterior stairways serving a dwelling unit shall have an illumination level of not less than 1 foot-candle measured at the center of the treads and landings. Exterior stairways serving a dwelling unit shall have an artificial light source located in the immediate vicinity of the top landing of the stairway. Dimension landings at top and bottom of stairs measured in the direction of travel not less than the stair width. Handrails are required on both on sides of a continuous run of treads or flight with four or more risers. Provide minimum 42” high Protective guards for decks and open sides of stairs and stair landing.Provide structural calculation and drawings stamped and signed by a California licensed Architect or Engineer.Please identify all structural members.Provide connection calculation and connection details of guards and/ or handrail on open side of stair , adequate to resist loads (200 lb) concentrated load at the top rail and 50 psf for intermediate rail.Make a note “ Smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector for all the units required, per CBC section 907.2.11.2.)
