Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceCBC Section 1010, Note on drawing: “Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort.”Show compliance with CBC Section 1010.1.4.4, Security grilles and doors. Horizontal sliding or vertical security grilles or doors, which are part of a required means of egress, shall conform to the following: - They must remain secured in the full open position during the period of occupancy by the general public. - The doors or grilles shall be openable from within without the use of any special knowledge or effort when the space is occupied. - When two or more exits are required, not more than one half of the exits may be equipped with horizontal sliding or vertical rolling grilles or doors. - Note on Drawings: Post a legible sign at security grill/door closing controls stating “Security grill/door shall remain secured in the full open position during the period of occupancy by the general public.”Some of the code sections referenced on sheet A-1 shall be updated to 2016 code sections.
