Reference Sheet 400 of drawings, Show positive attachment of soffit to structural above, show bracing for soffit and show blocking for attachment for screws for door heater where supporting the new glass/door. “Wall schedule by others” is not acceptable and entire support of glass is part of this permit. Please refer to red marks on the drawings for this comment if needed.

If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.Please return marked up set of drawings with corrections.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5831 for an appointment.Reference Sheet number 200, conference room 111A, 111B and 111C. Doors, when fully opened shall not reduce the required width of corridor/hallway by more than 7”. Doors in any position shall not reduce the required width by more than one-half. Note on the drawings: “Maximum effort to operate doors shall not exceed 5 pounds for exterior doors and interior doors, such pull or push effort being applied at right angles to hinged doors and at the center place of sliding or folding doors. Glass shall be firmly supported on all four edges. Show on the drawings how compliance shall be made with CBC Section 2404. For glass not firmly supported on all four edges, design shall be submitted to the building official for approval.Reference structural calculations, Show compliance with followings:Page 3 and 7 of calculations, please clarify location of glass with 16” width and provide manufacture data supporting Modulus of rapture (flexure) of 24 ksi and Factor safety of 4. Submit calculation for proposed glass with width of 2’-8” or less with height of 9’-0”.Submit structural calculations for design and justification for both vertical and lateral load of glass and attachments for sliding doors supported by glass that have connection and top and bottom. See floor plan 200, 201 and 202.The bottom 10” of all doors except automatic and sliding shall have a smooth uninterrupted surface to allow the door to be opened by a wheelchair footrest without creating a trap or hazardous condition. Please refer Section 404.2.10, exception # 2 for edge tapered at 60 degrees minimum from horizontal at top landing of 10” kick plate. Provide specifications for doors hardware (i.e., lever type, push-pull panic, etc.) to comply with disabled access requirements. Hand-activated door opening hardware shall be centered between 34” and 44” above the floor. Show location of each Type of door. Latching and locking doors that are hand activated and which are in a path of travel shall be operable with a single effort by lever-type hardware, by panic bars, push-pull activating bars, or other hardware designed to provide passage without requiring the ability to grasp the opening hardware.
