Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance.Sanitary facilities serving the area of new work shall be disabled accessible. The maneuvering space/ clearance on the pull side for the door to accessible women’s toilet compartment shall be min of 60”per CBC Sections 11B-604.8.1.2 & 11B404.2.4.1. Drawing is not very clear in this area. Please provide this dimension on the drawings. See red marks on sheet RR-1.Hand-activated door opening hardware shall be centered between 34” and 44” above the floor. Please make a note on the drawing for this requirement.The recheck could be done over the counter. Please call to make an appointment for over the counter recheck.
