The applicant shall, prior to resubmitting, complete all construction documents to show compliance with the 2016 California Building Standards Code.Refer to 1stplan check comments dated 8/16/17 and revise calculations and drawings to compliance.Calculations and drawings do not match. Calculations to show raised solar panels (wind load design) as shown on the drawings including itemizing actual dead load, live load. Please refer to two sets of calculations dated 11/20/17 and 2/28/17, pages 3 and 4 red flags (“Exceeds”) and revise calculations to reflect the actual existing framing of building including calculations for design and justification.Callout that existing building is one story with complete roof framing plan. Callout size, span and spacing of all roof members. Provide dimensions for existing roof plan. Subject to City inspection. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings (647-5839 or 647-5700) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceProvide dimensioned roof framing plan and identify roof each framing size and spacing. Submit structural calculations for each existing roof member due to additional load of solar panels. Incorporate results of calculations into drawings prior to re-submittal. Reference Sheet PV8, attachment detail of solar panels (identify detail number), Indicate spacing of 5/16” lag screws into existing roof members. Identify size of roof members where lag bolts are to be attached. Clarify if no angle solar panels (Flat) are installed per detail.Indicate ICC approved water sealant for 5/16 lag into existing roof on the drawings.
