Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance: - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - School District Compliance Certificate; a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of work. Refer to the attached handout.Provide floor area calculations to show that the mezzanine added is less than 1/3 of the open floor area; otherwise this will be considered a second floor.Dimension the width of the stair; please make sure it complies with the requirements of chapter 10 and the accessibility requirements.Specify the use of the mezzanine, please clarify the type of material that will be stored on the mezzanine and justify a dead load to be used in the design of the flooring of the mezzanine.Specify the type of material that will be stored on the shelves.Provide structural calcs to justify adequacy of the metal deck to support the load.Provide a detail that shows the connection of the wood deck to the metal deck and framing.Please note that the mezzanine has to be sprinklered.Show on the floor plan the location of the mezzanine and the stairs.There should be a landing at the top and bottom of the step. The railing should extend on the landing. Please dimension the length of the extension. Also dimension the height of the railing and the space between the pickets. Please make sure all the dimensions are in compliance with the requirements of the Building code.Provide notes and details to show that the bathrooms serving the area of remodel are in compliance with the accessibility requirements of chapter 11B.The details shown for the parking curb ramp differ from what is shown in from of the building.In the calcs, you need to address the case of the wide tunnel where the column have a longer unsupported length due to the absence of the beam members.Clarify on the plans where the tunnel is and where all the aisle are. Dimension the width of all the isles.Show on the plans the thickness of the slab. Please justify the use of 1000psf for the soil right under the slab or use an allowable load of 850psf per the City of LA recommendation.Please show a section that is a depiction of this project that shows the sizes of all the beams to be used specifically the one at the top.
