Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Fire Department approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - School District Compliance Certificate; a copy of the building permit application, signed by the plan check engineer, shall be required by the School District to verify the scope of work. Refer to the attached handout. - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceSpecify the exact use of the building, provide an occupancy classification based on the proposed used as defined in chapter three of the California building code.From the plans provided this building is not an S occupancy.Provide a statement to indicate the type of soil the foundation is placed in based on observation of the design engineer. Clarify if the soil is non-disturbed or compacted. If compacted is there a compaction report?Provide opening calculation to show the building complies with the maximum amount of opening allowed under chapter 7 table 705.8 of the exterior walls.Provide an accessible path of travel from the proposed building to the exiting building.Provide lever type hardware on all doors.Add a note to plans that all doors to be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort.Provide a construction section through the clear story that show shows a continuous load path from the upper roof diaphragm to the foundation.Clarify through a section if there is a double plate above the header; otherwise provide starps at the headers to the double plate.Provide a detail of the proposed columns. Are there posts? Or wall framing? Eitherway provide support for the beams.Provide notes and details to show compliance witn the California Green Building Code.
