Please call (714) 647-5830 for an appointment.The proposed excavation drawings and the “Removal Action Work Plan” have been reviewed. The approximate excavation area is 2,300 square foot and depth of excavation ranges from 4 feet deep to 14 foot deep. Proposed excavation area is located North-East corner of existing building. Portion of excavation area is located underneath an existing exterior walls. The primary concern on this scope of work is the structural stability of existing building. A licensed Civil Engineer/Structural Engineer or Geotechnical Engineer shall review the excavation plan and approve the method of slot trenching, method of compaction under the slab, method of compaction under existing footing, approval of compaction report, and certified the backfill material. Per general notes on Figure C, concrete compressive strength of 3000 psi requires special concrete inspection by a deputy inspector. All post-installed anchor bolts including Simpson Set XP epoxy requires special inspection also. A licensed Civil Engineer or Structural Engineer shall stamp and sign the excavation drawings.
