All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.(When needed) Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. -Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department (OCFA) approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings 714-573-6126.Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceIndicate occupancy for new storage area and adjacent rooms/area and show occupancy separation wall when require by Table 508.4, 2016 CBC.Reference Sheet 2, Clarify location of entrance and exits of enclosed area for new racks room adjacent to existing conference room 114.

Show maximum travel distance of 100’-0” per Table 1006.2.1 forSoccupancy from most remote point within the story along natural and unobstructed path of horizontal egress travel to entrance to an exit, Section 1017.3. Show 250'-0” distance where exit can travel in two different directions to reach an exit (exit access) per Table 1017.2 of CBC. S, 200250bOccupancies storing, handling, using, and/or selling hazardous materials, liquids, and chemicals shall submit a list of all said materials, listing their quantities and how they relate to specific California Building Code Table items. Note on the Floor Plan, type and quantity of hazardous material in each control area and fire-resistive rating for fire barriers.On the drawings, indicate material name to be stored on the racks.Occupancies using hazardous materials are subject to special requirements. It is the applicant’s/owner’s responsibility, PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL, to make this known to the Building, Planningand Fire Departments (OCFA). When there has been a change in use or occupancy classifications, drawings shall show compliance with the CBC requirements for the new classifications, CBC Section 3406.Please refer to red marks on the drawings.Indicate spacing between racks on the drawings.Every portion of every building in which is installed seatmerchandise, equipment, or similar materials shall be provided with aisles leading to an exit. Every aisle shall not be less than 36” wide if serving only one side, and not less than 44” wide if serving both sides.Steel storage racks and their anchorage, where the importance factor is equal to 1.5 inaccordance with Section 15.5.3 of ASCE 7-10.CBC Section 1707.6, Storage racks and access floors. Drive-in, drive-through, and stacker racks shall be anchored to the floor by anchor bolts capable of resisting the horizontal shear forces caused by the horizontal and vertical loads on the rack.
