The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following, prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804). Previously
approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process.
-Public Works Agency approval (647-5039).
In the previously submitted calculations, there is no design for a 5 foot retaining wall supporting a 6 feet fence. Please provide structural calculations.
Detail C shows a fence supported on sheet pile. Sheet pile is supported by the soil’s passive pressure. The sheet pile is located adjacent to a slope which reduced the amount of soil’s passive pressure significantly. Provide structural calcs. for the condition provided, in addition, provide soil’s recommendations for the placement of the sheet pile next to the slope. The soil’s report should indicate at what depth below the surface should the soil’s passive pressure be taken into consideration.
