CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDMENTSResubmit 3corrected sets of plans at permit counter and appointment is not needed for re-submittal.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only, if needed. This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance of Worker’s Compensation Insurance.Provide scoop of work on the cover Sheet and Indicate total number of solar panels to be installed including weight of each panel and attachments. Please correct Occupancy, type of construction on the drawings and indicate 2016 CBC. Our record shows that existing building is a B occupancy and Type III-B construction.Provide drawings (18”x24” minimum) to incorporate the results of structural in to drawings for each item designed in calculations.Structural drawings to be signed and stamped by California licensed engineer prior to resubmittal. Provide complete dimensioned roof framing plan to show size and framing of all roof member. Show location of attachment of solar panels in each direction to existing roof faming. Indicate spacing, size of each attachment.Indicate ICC approval for weather sealant when existing roof is penetrated for solar panel attachment. Remove electrical Sheets and submit for electrical permit when prompted by Permit Technician. Electrical drawings are not reviewed nor approved as part of structural submittal. Provide specific detail of solar panel showing the proposed slope and attachment. Calculations to match proposed layout and slope. Please refer to two attached solar handouts for additional requirements and revise drawings to show compliance.
