All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. - Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (714-647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Fire Department (OCFA) approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings (714-573-6126)Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceRemove, Void notes, detail and drawings that is not applicable to this permit. Please clarify if accessibility details provided as part of this submittal is part of this permit and remove if not part of this permit. Accessibility details are not reviewed at this time. Occupancies storing, handling, using, and/or selling hazardous materials, liquids, and chemicals shall submit a list of all said materials, listing their quantities and how they relate to specific California Building Code Table items. Note on the Floor Plan, type and quantity of hazardous material in each control area and fire-resistive rating for fire barriers.Indicate material name to be stored on the racks.Occupancies using hazardous materials are subject to special requirements. It is the applicant’s/owner’s responsibility, PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL, to make this known to the Building, Planningand Fire Departments (OCFA). When there has been a change in use or occupancy classifications, drawings shall show compliance with the CBC requirements for the new classifications. Additional plan check comments may apply if change of occupancy is proposed. Indicate spacing between racks on the drawings.Every portion of every building in which is installed seatmerchandise, equipment, or similar materials shall be provided with aisles leading to an exit. Every aisle shall not be less than 36” wide if serving only one side, and not less than 44” wide if serving both sides.Steel storage racks and their anchorage, where the importance factor is equal to 1.5 inaccordance with Section 15.5.3 of ASCE 7.CBC Section 1707.6, Storage racks and access floors. Periodic special inspection is required during the anchorage of access floors and storage racks 8’ or greater in height in structures assigned to Seismic Design Category D.Note on the drawings and submit a copy of ICC Research Report for anchor bolts.Note on the drawings locations and inscriptions of 50 square inch minimum size permanent plaques installed in conspicuous locations, showing the maximum permissible unit load in clear, legible print.Load application and rack configuration drawings shall be furnished with each rack installation. The drawings shall present the permissible configurations or limitations as to the maximum number of shelves or rails, the maximum distance between them, and the maximum distance from the floor to the bottom shelf or rail.The bottom of all posts shall be furnished with bearing plates. Drive-in, drive-through, and stacker racks shall be anchored to the floor by anchor bolts capable of resisting the horizontal shear forces caused by the horizontal and vertical loads on the rack.
