Provide valuation on Building Permit Worksheet

Valuation is too low. Submit a signed copy of the contract showing labor and materials for all work to be done.

Provide complete information for applicant, owner, engineer, architect, and contractor.
Obtain separate permit for the following items:
Retaining walls or block fence walls, Grading work, Signs, Swimming pools, Fire sprinkler systems, Separate structure, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing work, Shoring, and Demolition.
The permit application must be signed by the property owner, or licensed contractor, or authorized agent at the time the permit is to be issued:

For owner-builder permits: Owner’s signature can be verified with owner’s driver license. Owner’s representatives must present owner’s approval with a notarized letter from the owner.

For contractor building permits: Prior to the issuance of a building permit, the contractor shall have the following:

Provide temporary shoring plans for excavations removing the lateral support of public way or an existing building. Excavations adjacent to a public way require Public Works approval prior to permit issuance.

Where the depth of excavation is greater than the walls or foundation of an adjoining building, the owner shall provide the Department of Building and Safety with evidence that the adjacent property owner(s) have been given a
30-day written notice of such intent to make an excavation. This notice shall state the depth of such excavation and when it will commence. This notice shall be by certified mail, return receipt requested.

General
Provide information regarding productsstored, including packaging, shelving, and sprinkler design information (i.e. density, area of coverage and temperature rating of heads).
Mechanical
Provide refrigeration equipment productdata specifying listing approvals and weights.
Show location of compressors, condensers,and other equipment.
Specify amount and type of refrigerant.
Structural Design
Provide framing plans and calculations, forvertical and lateral loads, stamped by a California State registered professional engineer for any roof mounted equipment weighing more than 400 pounds. Units weighing less than 400 pounds (when directly supported on framing members larger than 2 x 4) are not required to be stamped by an engineer.
Roof curb designs must be provided for allroof mounted mechanical equipment. If factory curbs will be used, provide details. Specify the type, amount, and location of fasteners.
All floor supported mechanical equipmentand fixed appliances shall be anchored to
the structure to resist displacement vertically and on both horizontal axis due to seismic motion. Specify anchorage for floor sup- ported equipment on the plans.
Suspended mechanical equipment and appliances shall have rigid vertical hangers and be braced in both horizontal directions. Connections by pipes or ducts that are or contain non-rigid elements, are not of inherent sufficient strength, or which are not adequately anchored will not be acceptable as equipment or appliance anchors. Detail anchorage for suspended equipment on drawings.
Foam Plastic Insulation
The interior of the building shall be separatedfrom foam plastic insulation by an approved- thermal barrier that complies with CBC Sec.2603.6.4.
Provide manufacturer’s name, productlisting, product identification and information to show that the proposed structure com- plies with the flame-spread andsmoke-development limitations of CBC Sec.2603.
