CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDMENTSMeetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. If needed. This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information. If applicable please remove MEP Sheets.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process. - County of Orange Health Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (667- 3600)
-Public Works Agency approval (647-5039)Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuance of Worker’s Compensation Insurance.Clarify if proposed cooler is a walk- in- cooler or reach-in-cooler and if accessed by Public or employee only. Revise both architectural and structural drawings to show compliance. Accessible entrance to walk-in-cooler when open to public is required. ½” door threshold is required for door when for employee use only. Provide detail/s to show compliance if applicable. Reference Sheet A4.1, Provide complete dimensioned floor plan to match structural drawings and correct City of LA approval for cooler on Sheet A4.1 and A4.2.Reference Sheet S1.1, Show threaded rod to be supported from upper layer of GLB or other roof structural members.Valuation of proposed project is calculated as $65000.00. A minimum of 20% of valuation of construction is required to be spent towards providing compliant disabled access (both site and building) in compliance with Section 11B-202 for existing buildings. Show both existing elements and how they will be upgraded to current standards.Drawings submitted to the Building Division for review shall provide the following information to insure compliance with CBC Section 11B-202:
- An accessible entrance
- An accessible route to the altered area
- Accessible restrooms
- Parking, signage and alarms
