CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDMENTSResubmit 2corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5831 for an appointment.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
-Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceValuation of proposed project is calculated as $5000.00. A maximum of 20% of valuation of construction is required to be spent in providing disabled access compliance. Drawings submitted to the Building Division for review shall provide the following information to insure compliance with Chapter 11B, Division 2, 2016 CBC for existing building:
- An accessible entrance
- An accessible route to the altered area
- Accessible restrooms
- Accessible telephone (if any)
- Accessible drinking fountains, and
- Parking, signage and alarmsSubmit a letter addressed to the Building Safety Division including the job address and Building plan check number describing the demo permit and valuation (please use valuation of $5000.00) of demo permit and acknowledge that the valuation of demo permit to be added to future TI valuation in providing compliance with accessibility compliance as noted in Section 11B-204 , 2016 CBC. The letter to be signed by property owner and tenant. Please void details that are not part of this permit, and label room/areas as existing no change. Label bearing and non-bearing walls on the drawings. Submit structural calculations by a licensed architect and engineer for vertical and lateral load analysis if any bearing wall/s to be removed.
