APPLICABLE CODE: 2016CALIFORNIA BUILDING CODE (CBC) Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. A separate sheet for response may be used.When meeting is required, meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only, if needed. This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical work. If applicable, please remove MEP drawings and call 714-647-5800 for MEPsubmittal information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceInclude engineers address and phone number on the structural calculationsfor foundation design and on crane design calculations. Submit a letter addressed to the Building Safety Division describing in detail the manufacturing process from material delivery, storage, handling, packaging, and shipping of finish product. Include equipment/crane describing use in the process. Occupancy /use of area to be reviewed to establish occupancy based on Section 302 of 2016 CBC. When there has been a change in use or occupancy classifications, drawings shall show compliance with the CBC requirements for the new occupancy classifications and separate submittal is required for OCFA when change of occupancy is proposed.Identify use of rooms/area adjacent to new area of work/carne and show occupancy separation when required by Table 508.4 of 2016 CBC. Please Reference each fire resistive assembly to Table 7 of 2016 CBC and provide a copy on the drawings.
Reference Sheet 1/1 of drawings, page 6 of crane foundation design and page 2/2 of 2 ton TRSG Bridge Crane calculations, correct discrepancy for bracing height of 13’-0” or 14’-0” and revise drawing and calculations for correct height of bracing.
Submit complete structural calculations for design and complete analysis of new carne and incorporate results of calculations into drawings prior to re-submittal. Engineer’s signature and stamp is required on both calculations and drawings. Please include engineers complete address and phone number on the calculations. Additional plan check comments may apply.
Reference ton TRSG Bridge Crane calculations page 1/2, Crane foundation design and Sheet S1.0, Indicate set back from carne foundation to exiting foundation (indicate size of each footing) of building. Revise foundation calculations not to include any additional load from proposed cane to exiting foundation of building and consider the surcharge load from new foundation to existing foundation.
Provide fully dimensioned floor plan/ foundation plan including foundation set backs on Sheet S1.0.
