All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 2corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. Please call (714) 647-5862 for an appointment.This review does not include mechanical, plumbing, or electrical work. Separate plans, applications, fees, plan checks, and permits are required for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. Call 647-5800 for information.The applicant shall obtain clearances/approvals for the following prior to building permit issuance:
- Planning Division approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5804.) Previously approved plans
should be submitted to expedite the process.
- Police Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings (647-5840)
- Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceProvide structural calculations and drawings, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer for:
- New mechanical equipment on roof (note on Roof Framing Plan weight of each existing and new piece of
equipment on the roof)
- New equipment screening on roof if it is required by Planning Division.Provide calculation to justify the reduced roof live load to 12 PSF for GLB Joist as it is used on calc. sheet BQ-2. Please see CBC Section 1607.12, Roof live load. (It seems to be that min RF live load shall be 16.32 PSF for 8’ X 48’ tributary area). The load cases use in the calculation does not match the actual equipment lay out on the drawing. Revised the drawings to match the calculation or update the calculation to match the drawings.Since the existing 2 ½” X 27” GLB will be over stressed due to adding new equipment, providecalculation for post tensioning these roof GLBs. The cable used for post tensioning the GLB is not called out correctly in detail 5/S-2.CBC Section A106.1. Calculations must be presented in a clear, legible, and organized manner conducive for structural plan review. A table of contents must be provided and pages must be numbered for referencing purposes. Resubmit revised calculations showing compliance.
