The approved plans are placed at the plan check counter for your convenience. APPLICABLE CODE: 2016 CALIFORNIA BUILDING CODE (CBC) WITH CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDMENTS All items noted on this plan check report must be addressed. If you feel that an item is not applicable to your project, note “N/A” and discuss the reason with the plan checker.Please indicate the sheet number and detail to the right of each correction, or note the number on the plans where the correction is made. Resubmit marked original, calculations and this correction sheet. A separate sheet for response may be used.Resubmit 3corrected sets of plans.Meetings between the project applicant/designer and the plan reviewer shall be by appointment only. The applicant shall, prior to resubmitting, complete all construction documents to show compliance with the 2016 California Building Standards Code with local amendments.All drawings and supporting documents shall be prepared, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer.All persons preparing plans, specifications, and instruments of service for others shall sign those plans, specifications and other instruments of service for others shall sign those plans, specifications and other instruments of service and all contracts therefore. Previously approved plans should be submitted to expedite the process. - Orange County Fire Authority approval on the corrected/final sets of drawings ((714)573-6100) - Public Works Agency approval (647-5039) - County of Orange Health Department approval on the corrected/final set of drawings ((714)433-6000) - Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be required at the time of permit issuanceProvide the following: - Provide a fully dimensioned site plan on each set of plans. - Provide exact location of the proposed tank on the site plan.Show on the plans: - Occupancy Classification(s) - Type of ConstructionOccupancies storing, handling, using, and/or selling hazardous materials, liquids, and chemicals shall submit a list of all said materials, listing their quantities and how they relate to specific California Building Code Table items. Note on the Floor Plan, type and quantity of hazardous material in each control area and fire-resistive rating for fire barriers.The engineering calculation shall be updated to show the proposed footing passes all the design checks including soils bearing. See warning note on calculation sheets 13 and 17. If a larger footing is modeled in your ENERCALC design, please provide the revised modeling.Provide structural drawings, stamped and signed by a California licensed architect or registered civil engineer for: - Foundation of the proposed tank. ( 13’ X 13’ X 18”) and concrete compression strength. - Anchorage layout for the proposed tank.( 12- 7/8” dia. Hilti…) - Details of anchoring the proposed tank with cables to prevent overturning. - Anchors type, material, spacing, diameter, and embedment. - Details of the clipsand method of securing the proposed tank to the clips. ( L6 X4 X1/2 X 0-14” galvanized steel clips) - Number and details of proposed cables. (3 /8” X 7 ? X19 ? cables per(2) restraint clips) - Wind design data. The following information related to wind loads shall be shown, regardless of whether wind loads govern the design of the lateral-force-resisting system of the building: - Basic wind speed (3-second gust), miles per hour (km/hr). - Wind importance factor, I, and occupancy category. - Wind exposure. Where more than one wind exposure is utilized, the wind exposure and applicable wind direction shall be indicated. - The applicable internal pressure coefficient. - Components and cladding. The design wind pressures in terms of psf to be used for the design of exterior component and cladding materials not specifically designed by the registered design professional.Earthquake design data. The following information related to seismic loads shall be shown, regardless of whether seismic loads govern the design of the lateral-force-resisting system of the building: - Seismic importance factor, I, and occupancy category. - Mapped spectral response accelerations, SS and S1. - Site class. - Spectral response coefficients, SDS and SD1. - Seismic design category. - Basic seismic-force-resisting system(s). - Design base shear. - Seismic response coefficient(s), CS. - Response modification factor(s), R. - Analysis procedure used.Details must be provided on the plans for items designed in the calculations.The engineer or architect in responsible charge of the structural design work shall include in the construction documents the following: - Special inspections required by ICC Research Report.
