Show compliance with CBC Section 704 and CBC Tables 601, 602, and 704.8.Note on the floor plan the use and occupancy load of each building. Provide number of exits required by CBC Sections 1015 and 1016.CBC Section 1022.1, Exit continuity. Exits shall be continuous from the point of entry into the exit to the exit discharge.CBC Sections 1028.5, EXIT DISCHARGE. That portion of a means of egress system between the termination of an exit and a public way.CBC Section 1028.5., Access to a public way. The exit discharge shall provide a direct and unobstructed access to a public way.Note on drawing: “Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort.”CBC Section 11404.2.9, Note on the drawings: “Maximum effort to operate doors shall not exceed 5 pounds for exterior doors and interior doors, such pull or push effort being applied at right angles to hinged doors and at the center place of sliding or folding doors. Compensating devices or automatic door operators may be utilized to meet the above standards. When fire doors are required, the maximum effort to operate the door may be increased to the minimum allowable by the appropriate administrative authority, not to exceed 15 pounds.Provide 24” clearance to the strike edge of doors/gates on the side which door swings in and 12” to the side that door swings out.
